Fingleton White operates an Integrated Management System (IMS) accredited to ISO 9001 for quality, ISO 14001 for the environment, and OHSAS 18001 for health & safety. In addition, Fingleton White are also an Engineers Ireland CPD Accredited Employer, and ensure that all employees receive the relevant training required for their role.

ISO 9001 is the internationally-recognised standard for the quality management of businesses. It applies to the processes that create and control the services that we supply. 

Fingleton White’s Quality Management System is maintained within its Integrated Management System (IMS), which also includes the requirements for ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001. The IMS helps to improve efficiency and service productivity and it is constantly monitored to ensure continuous improvement.

ISO 14001 is the internationally-recognised standard for the environmental management of businesses. It prescribes controls for those activities that have an effect on the environment. These include the use of natural resources, the handling and treatment of waste and energy consumption. ISO 14001 also ensures compliance with current legislation requirements.

Our Integrated Management System is maintained and accredited to meet the requirements of ISO 14001.

OHSAS 18001: 2007 EQA_OHSAS_18001_2007_OHSAS_Logo
OHSAS 18001 is the internationally-recognised standard for Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems (OHSAS). OHSAS 18001 enables Fingleton White to meet health and safety legislation and to provide ongoing monitoring of health and safety targets. 

Fingleton White’s Integrated Management System is maintained and accredited to meet the requirements of OHSAS 18001.

Engineers Ireland – CPD Accredited Employer engineersireland
Engineers Ireland's CPD Accredited Employer standard is the national benchmark for organisations across all sectors of engineering. Continuing Professional Development (CPD) plays a vital part in keeping staff skilled, companies agile and our economy competitive.

Fingleton White achieved the accreditation following an audit of the company's lifelong learning practices for their engineering professionals.

 UVDB-Audit
Fingleton White has successfully completed Achilles UVDB Category B2 Verify Audit.

This UVDB Verify audit and assessment was undertaken independently by an Accredited Achilles Auditor and provides a rigorous assessment and demonstration of compliance of Fingleton White's health and safety, environmental and quality management systems.

The audit process takes place over a comprehensive two day office and site audit, and will be reassessed at regular intervals.
 
IMS POLICIES

Environmental Policy
FW is committed to establishing, implementing and maintaining an effective environmental system that complies with the requirements of ISO 14001:2015 and industry codes of practice.

The Owners and Directors of FW, acknowledge their responsibilities under statutory regulations and other industry codes of practice. FW is committed to the prevention of pollution and complies with applicable environmental legislation.

We are committed to promoting environmental awareness amongst our employees, contractors, visitors and suppliers. In accordance with this policy, we will strive to operate our business and to design and build facilities in a sustainable fashion.

We will communicate and consult with staff and third parties as required to honour this commitment. As part of our regular review process, the company will endeavour to promote:

  • Waste segregation at source
  • Recycling of certain wastes
  • The use of ‘green’ energy
  • The reduction of our environmental impact

FW aims to continually improve the environmental system and achieve the annual targets and objectives set out by the environmental system.

FW will review this Environmental Policy and System in the light of experience and developments within their areas of business at a minimum at the annual Management Review Meeting.

Quality Policy
FW is committed to establishing, implementing and maintaining an effective quality system that complies with the requirements of ISO 9001:2015 Quality Standard and industry codes of practice.

FW will achieve the objectives and targets which are set out by the quality system and FW is committed to continual improvement of the quality of service provided and the performance of the quality system. This includes the setting and reviewing of objectives annually.

FW is committed to establishing customer requirements and providing the resources and training needed to ensure customer satisfaction.

The achievement of a satisfactory standard of quality and customer satisfaction is the responsibility of all those employed in the company. To achieve this staff are made aware of the requirements of the Quality Manual, associated procedures, forms and templates.

FW will follow the requirements of the Quality Manual and commit to maintaining the above policy.

FW will regularly review this Quality Policy and System in the light of experience and developments within their areas of business at a minimum at the annual Management Review Meeting.

Health & Safety Policy
The Owners and Directors of FW acknowledge their responsibilities to protect the safety health and welfare of their employees under statutory regulations. FW is committed to comply with applicable legal requirements and with other requirements to which the organisation subscribes that relate to its occupational health and safety.

FW is committed to establishing, implementing and maintaining an effective health and safety system that complies with the requirements of OHSAS 18001:2007 Occupational Health and Safety Standard and the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005. FW aims to continually improve this system and achieve the annual targets and objectives set out by the system.

FW is committed to providing, so far as is reasonably practicable, a safe and healthy work environment for all employees and to meet its duties to contractors and authorised visitors who may be affected by their operations.

The FW Office Risk Assessment identifies the hazards and assesses the risks of all company activities. It is FW’s intention to implement all necessary controls to mitigate and reduce risk and to protect our employees from accident or ill health at work. The company will seek to ensure that all our equipment and systems do not constitute a risk to the Health & Safety of our employees.

The achievement of a satisfactory standard of safety is the responsibility of all those employed in the company. FW will communicate and consult with staff on matters related to safety, health and welfare at work. Staff are encouraged to put forward ideas which help ensure the safety for all while at work.

FW will regularly review this Health and Safety Policy Statement in light of experience and developments within their areas of business at a minimum at the annual Management Review Meeting.

Data Security Policy
FW is committed to protecting restricted, confidential or sensitive data from loss to avoid reputation damage and to avoid adversely impacting our customers. The protection of data is a critical business requirement, yet flexibility to access data and work effectively is also vital.  

The achievement of a satisfactory standard of security to ensure customer satisfaction is the responsibility of all those employed in the company. To achieve this, staff are made aware of the requirements of the Data Security Policy which defines the requirements for handling of information and user behaviour.

FW will follow the procedures outlined in the Data Security Policy and commit to maintaining a high quality of data security for all stakeholders involved with the company.

FW will regularly review this Data Security Statement and Policy in the light of experience and developments within their areas of business at a minimum at the annual Management Review Meeting.
