Bespoke Gas Infrastructure Upgrade and Installation Works

Areas of work: Gas Infrastructure

Description

This project involved the relocation of two existing 4-bar medium-pressure gas installations from within the hospital’s boiler house to a new external location. The works included the design of two bespoke gas installations, along with a purpose-built brickwork enclosure to accommodate the new infrastructure. The project presented several challenges, including a restricted site footprint for the new enclosure and the hospital’s requirement for a continuous gas supply throughout the works. Careful planning, close stakeholder coordination, and a phased construction approach were essential to ensure the relocation was completed safely, efficiently, and with no disruption to hospital operations.
